I began my career working for the International Finance Corporation. In hindsight, I realize it was a pretty cool job. One of the most challenging and exciting parts of the job was the travel. Raspberry Pi
The Raspberry Pi is one of the coolest products to have launched in the past few years. It’s a fully functional computer the size of a credit card that costs only $35. It was developed by Eben Upton, Rob Mullins, Jack Lang and Alan Mycroft and University of Cambridge’s Computer Laboratory. Their original purpose was to develop a cheap, functional computer for educational purposes, but the current iteration of the Pi is great for travel warriors. The computer uses an SD card for a hard drive. Plug in a monitor and a keyboard, and you’re all set to go.
Steripen
The Steripen is a small handheld device made by Hydro-Photon that can purify a glass of water. If you travel internationally, it’s very easy to become ill from drinking the water.
